Event Details
The Kiawah Conservancy is excited to host Mary Reynolds, bestselling author, inspirational speaker, and founder of the global movement We Are the ARK. Mary is an internationally acclaimed landscape designer who launched her career at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2002, the story of which was made into a 2016 movie called Dare to be Wild. Her call to action is an international one, to every person everywhere, to re-wild our landscapes using native and wildlife-friendly plantings therefore weaving a patchwork of safe havens for nature in our gardens, schools, public spaces, and beyond.
Guests will enjoy a gourmet luncheon and a virtual visit with Mary Reynolds as she joins us remotely from her home in Ireland to discuss the importance of native plants, her career, and how we can be better stewards of the land. This event will also include a vendor showcase where you can meet with local landscape professionals, native plant experts, and native plant nurseries to have your landscape, gardening, and native plant questions answered.
Thank you to our generous event sponsors and vendors: Seabrook Island Green Space Conservancy, Charleston Aquatic & Environmental Inc., The Greenery of Charleston, Roots and Shoots Nursery, Plan'td Ecological Design, and Surculus.
Registration is required on or before October 4, 2023.
